Who We Are
Dekalb County is committed to the safety and health of its citizens. As the fight against the COVID 19 continues, please follow CDC guidelines for social distancing.
Frazier-Rowe Park is part of Dekalb County’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs. Friends of Frazier-Rowe Park is a volunteer and booster organization, and a Park Pride registered “Friends of the Park” group.
We support a variety of conservation-minded programs, and promote a variety of plant life native to the region and state so that the birds and bees, and their habitats, can flourish. To that end the park has been declared a Wildlife Sanctuary and has partnered with the following environmental and conservation groups.
Butterfly Garden Symposium
National Audubon Society
North American Butterfly Association
Roslyn Carter Butterfly Trail
University of Georgia Bee Study
The Great Georgia Pollinator Count
White House Pollinator Garden
The park comprises about nine acres complete with a playground, an exercise area, and blazed trails. There will soon be a pavilion that will provide more opportunities for the community to gather and enjoy.
The upper part of the park offers a sidewalk path in which to stroll or walk, and enjoy the flower and shade beds. There are picnic tables and benches, exercise equipment, and a shaded playground for 12 and younger children, complete with a slide and merry-go-round.
In the lower park you will find acres filled with majestic beeches, tulip and pine trees, hickories and oaks. Just follow the sloping path behind the playground to find blazed trails, creeks, bridges, outdoor classrooms, and oh so much more nature to explore and enjoy.
